I love this story at every level. Great read, highly recommended. He lover the first five books so much that it was only logical to buy him the next set so he could continue reading. Just as good as the Volume 2 book on Chesapeake and Ohio... Bought this volume 3 book along with volume 2. Volume 3 Baltimore and Ohio is loaded with good photos. Rail fans should buy this one too....

You normally do not get much history on Doc in Tombstone related history so it was good to get some perspective on Doc's whereabouts and activities during his time in the West; however, there seemed to be more information available about his time and family growing up then his time in the West. No partisan sniping. Second best of the series. I read the book, but have to admit that I gave the book away because, quite frankly, I couldn't comprehend fully the language used by Dr. That's what this series is all about. Anyway, there is a female heroine; smart, beautiful, competent, brave and determined. Trying to track down the source of the contamination, of course, alerts the bad guys who want to shut him up.
